Bennington Public School District is an independent suburban school system in north central Douglas County.
The K-12 enrollment was 2,080 students at the start of the 2015-16 school year, with close to 285 employees.
Bennington Public Schools consist of a junior-senior high school (grades 7-12) and three elementary schools (grades K-6).
The mission of Bennington Public Schools is to provide educational opportunities in

Elementary Activities
Walking Club: Students come to school and walk in the morning from 7:50-8:10.
Students need to wear tennis shoes to walking club.
Reading Club:
Students bring books to read in the morning from 7:50-8:10 and students in 1st-6th grade can take AR Test.
Chess Club:
K-6 students meet once a week to learn about chess and use their new skills in matches against other students.
Writing Club:
3rd-6th grade students can participate in the writing club to challenge their writing
abilities through a variety of genre.
Science Club: 5th and 6th graders students explore different science topics.
Art Club: 4th-6th grade students can participate in art club to explore their creativity and imagination
through a variety of mediums.
The Bennington Schools Foundation Before and After School Program is a program
offered through the Foundation and for convenience is located within all three
of the Elementary Schools. Our goal is to provide a safe place for kids to play
and learn before and after school. For additional information please visit our

Booster Club: As an organization the Booster Club provided the following things to our school: Buttons with student athlete’s pictures, end mats in the old gym, scorer’s table, pocket calendars with schedules, selling of Badger clothing, State Championship Banners, Conference Banners and concession. By joining the Bennington Booster Club, members can receive $10 off a family pass to all activities. The passes must be purchased separately from the high school office.
